About Me

I am lucky enough to have 3 amazing kids and to be married to a an absolutely wonderful man. All of the them have taught me so much about love - both giving and receiving - and I cannot imagine my life without any of them. Somehow between running around with the monkeys and snuggling with my sweetie, I find time to be a student at USC.

How much water should you be drinking?

There are so many different theories aout how much water we should drink each day.  I have heard that it is best to drink eight 8oz glasses of water a day. I have heard some of those glasses of water could really be juice and even the soft drink companies have been suggesting that their products are adequate for keeping you hydrated. I even had one person tell me that you should drink 1 oz of water for each pound of body weight.

One thing is for sure, drinking water is an important part of a daily routine.  Not only does it help flush out toxins in your system, it also helps keep us feeling full so we will crave and eat less. So how much should who is right and how much should we really be drinking? I don't know, but i did find this hydration calculator which figures your ideal intake based on body weight, amount of excercie you do, climate, etc.  It makes a lot of sense to me, even more since it is tailored to an individual rather than just a general approximation for every one.  Check it out here.

HYDRATION CALCULATOR

My suggested intake is 2.7 litres (88.5 oz) each day! I am nowhere near that amount but it is definitely worth working towards
