I have a very limited budget and so I have to make a little go a very long way. Keeping 3 kids healthy, clothed, fed, and well supplied for school is not an easy task and it is not cheap! I have learned a few tricks to help make the dollars stretch and I have also found some really great tools. One of my favorite tools is THE GROCERY GAME . I log in each week as I make my grocery list. This site compiles lists of sales at local stores and combines it with current and past coupons from the paper to help you figure out when to get the best deal. The site compiles the list by stores which give you the regular price, sale price, copoun value, the date/from which coupon booklet the coupon came from, and final price of the items. Once you seclect the itmes you want, you can print the list to take with you. It only costs about $10 every 8 weeks. I think it is a tremendous deal. I don't have the time to do that kind of research and since using the list, I rarely spend more than $100 on a weeks worth of groceries. Keep in mind that keeps a family of 5 well fed and our cupboards well stocked. I never pay more than $1.50 for a box of cereal and many weeks, I can get lots of items for free - YES FREE! The concept is to buy the products when they cost the least so that you have it on hand when you need it. Check it out - I am sure it can help your family too.
