Do you know? I don't either...well I didn't until I found wiseGEEK! It's a great site that has lots of answers to lots of questions like what 200 calories looks like If you click here you can go to their page where they have lots of pics 200 calories of different foods like these for instance:
   Peanut Butter Dried Apricots Tootsie Pops 34 grams = 200 Calories 83 grams = 200 Calories 68 grams = 200 Calories
I don't know about you but I have a hard time undersanding what a serving size is and what equals 100, 200 or even 500 calories. This is a great visual guide to help me figure out better snacks and even where I may be able to get more out of my snacks that will help me feel less hungry. |

Once again, I must credit my sweetie for helping me find this one too! See, it's all about "parenting in the digital age" and well, as you might know, I am technically and digitally challenged! This pocast is great and each episode features a way for us grown ups to Spend, Save, or Give or money along with a book pick. It's about being a parent but has lots of information that non parents can benefit from too. Just another way to get me thru traffic. Megan's got a great blog too! Check it out |

a podcast from two ex gutter punks who fall in love, buy a retired farm in southeast wisconsin and tell the world their dirty secrets… always profane, rarely profound. I credit my sweetheart for introducing me to this show. I love that this show has nothing to do with being a mom, It is just a whole lot of fun! Dawn and Drew are hilarious and never take themselves too seriously. They share all the good, bad, ugly, and seriously funny in their lives. They put out 5 shows each week which keep me laughing. A quick escape for the grown ups.....or well the not so grown ups! ****Fair warning: their shows is labeled Explicit due to language and adult subject manner. Most likely a show not to be played when children are present. **** |
