That’s me! and I have come to terms with the fact that no matter how old i get, I will always be his little girl.
Happy Father’s day dad! I am so lucky to have had you as my father growing up. I know that we didn’t always agree - especially in my teens. Regardless, you have always stood by my side, nudged me forward when I was scared, held my hand when the nudges didn’t work, stood back when I needed to do things my way, held me in your arms when I learned my way wasn’t the best way, applauded my achievements, forgiven me for my mistakes and always always loved me and made sure I knew it.
You are man of integrity who means what you say and sticks to. You are honest and kind and really really funny (even if some of your favorite jokes are corny). You have taught me to never give up on myself and never to settle for anything other than what is best for me. In watching your relationship with mom, I have learned a great deal. Your love and support for her taught me what to look for in my own husband and father to the kids - - - it is what allowed me to find Jerry and accept the love and support he has for me. On top of that, you are one of the best grandfathers out there. My children are lucky to have you to play with! You are the kind of man I wish my boys to grow up to be.
