most embarrassing moment # 537
so you may or may not know that i’ve got a new range. and may i just take a moment to gush about how much i love it? it’s fabulous! i’ve never ever had a new stove before and i’ve never had a gas cooktop before. i’ve cooked on them at other people’s homes and loved them. i’ve looked longing at them online and in department stores. i’ve dreamed about owning one. and now, i have one
. my stove is duel fuel which means that the oven is still electric which gives me the best option for baking! but this isn’t about how much i love this stove.
what this is about is when the nice man who is coming to install my new range hood showed up to give me an estimate. he poked around the kitchen and then asked where the attic crawl space access was. i told him it was in my boys’ room and walked him down the hall. perhaps i should have paid attention to the note my husband had left for the boys that morning instructing them to pick up their room because when i walked down the hall and opened their door, i was mortified!! it literally looked like a tornado had blown through there. i turned all shades of red as i moved things out of the way and this nice man had to pick his way through the rubble. it was horrible.
i am certainly reevaluating my relaxed policy of room cleaning so that this never happens again. please tell me i am not the only person this has happened too!

You are certainly not the only person this has happened to. We had new windows installed last year and we chose an Amish company to do the job. When the men came into our house to measure the windows, I was very embarrassed when we went into my son’s room. Toys were everywhere. I tried to let it slide knowing the Amish gentleman had kids himself but I had a feeling his home is much more organized.
Hhappens tome all the time!
Tornadoes are a part of life with kids. My child’s room is a big ol mess.
