turning back time
do you ever wish you could do that? turn back time? maybe to make a different choice or to erase a mistake? what about just for the chance to relive a day or a moment? these days i’ve been awfully nostalgic and sentimental. i don’t know what it is that has brought this on. maybe it’s because it’s summer and i get to spend more time with my kids. maybe it’s because any day now my 13 year old son will be taller than me. or, maybe it is the most amazing bundle of joy that is my 2 month old nephew which is causing me to think about when my kids were so small. whatever it is, it’s strong.
the other day i was walking enrique into his tutoring center. he grabbed my hand as we crossed the parking lot and in that instant a memory rushed back to me. many memories in fact of a time when he would grab on with both hands and i would swing him around and around. i could even hear the squeal of laughter which the swinging used to bring out of him. the memory was so strong that i almost swung him right then and there. being that he’s almost 10 now, it’s a good thing for both of us i didn’t

Ohhhhh Jenn… I have been FILLED with nostalgia over the past couple of weeks. My 25th Class Reunion was last weekend, and there are SOOOO many stories that surfaced, just as they do every 5 years. They get funnier and funnier every time they are told, and I live for it, I swear. I am STUCK in that 4-year period of my High School days, and probably always will be.
Just seeing a friend that I haven’t seen in so long, or talking one-to-one with a friend as if we picked up where we left off 25 years ago…
I have promised those classmates and friends that I would keep in contact with them MORE, and then when the 30th Reunion comes around, we won’t have to spend so much time asking, “So what are you doing these days?”
