reasons i love my son (the little one)
the baby of the family who is not so little anymore, he is so very creative and the one that makes all of us laugh without even trying. he is sensitive and caring and always eager to help. he was my surprise! baby. you know how they say things work 99.9% of the time…..yeah well, he’s where the .1% comes into play!!! regardless, he is my favorite surprise EVER!! he is truly a precious gift and i love him tons and tons…here’s why!
1) he cracks himself up! often times when we are all joking around, he will start fake laughing but doing so amuses him so much that he begins to laugh uncontrollably and that of course makes us all laugh too.
2) i have pictures taped to my bedroom door that he has drawn for me. in fact, there are many days that he will sit down and just start drawing pictures for everyone! and these are not just random drawings, he puts alot of thought into them and draws things that he knows i like. currently, my pictures are a giraffe, cow, christmas tree and turtle!
3) he is so great about following the rules most of the time and i rarely get an argument from him about things like bedtime. i think that he just lets his brother and sister do all the work and coasts by on their coat tails. that and he has paid attention and knows which battles to pick. so smart!
4) he has the most amazing imagination! he can entertain himself with a stick or a rock for hours on end
5) he is hard to resist - i know i tend to baby him- but when he says mommy pleeeaaasse my heart just melts.
6) he still loves for me to read him bedtime stories and always finds the perfect way to cuddle next to me.
7) he remembers when i have an exam at school and always tells me “good luck on your test today!” on top of that, he is always curious about my school work and asks what i did in school and what kinds of things am i learning.
he likes me to lie down with him at night when i tuck him in - he really does just want a couple of extra minutes. those 5 minutes are some of the best minutes of my entire day
9) he thinks NPR is interesting - nerdy but so adorable since i’m a big nerd myself.
10) he has a contagious laugh - it’s really silly ad hard to describe but i fall in love every time i hear it
