  • 4 cups rolled oats (not instant)
  • 1/2 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup toasted wheat germ
  • 1/2 cup dried apples, choped
  • 1/2 cup raisins

DescriptionDescription  This is a super easy breakfast to make that can also double as a mid morning or afternoon snack. Have it plan, with yogurt or with milk. I like to make it on the weekends and have it available every morning. The kids love it too. Just sweet enough but not full of sugar!
InstructionsInstructions  
  • preheat oven to 350
  • in a bowl, combine oats, nuts, and cinnamon
  • add honey and toss to coat - clumps will form but will separate during baking
  • spread evenly in 9 * 13 baking dish
  • bake or 5 minutes
  • using a spatula, lift and turn mixture over
  • bake an addtional 5 minutes
  • let cool on a wire rack

  • once cool, stir in wheat germ, apples, and raisins
  • store in air tight container
